Help Required With The Following Positions

Currently our Chairman, Gladys, cover s these jobs but as she intends to retire from the Chair at the next Annual General Meeting it would be useful to have somebody in post so there would be some continuity.

Events Organiser

We desperately need somebody who is willing to organise our annual Reunion and attendance at Family History Events! This could be a non-committee post and would mean holding the equipment we use (e.g. files, banner, table covers, flyers, etc), and keeping a list of those who are willing to attend events on behalf of The Society.

Publicity Officer

Again, not necessarily a Committee-based post as you would receive the Minutes and liaison with one or more Committee Members would be available. This does not need to be a North-West based job either as most of the publicity for the Society can be done via e-mail. A full list of contacts will be provided. Creating flyers and publicity material as well as posters for the Reunion is another part of this job.

Research Assistant

Becoming less onerous of late, but still a very important job; this post would involve helping Gladys with research and holding the Family Tree File and updating of same.

Chairman

This job is coming vacant on 09.10.2011

Traditionally supposed to be the easiest job and it would be if we can fill the other posts that have (for the past nine years) been covered by the current post-holder! Attendance at Meetings and some FH events is the major criteria? If you are interested, how about coming on the Committee now and find out if you really want to take the job?
