FAMILY TREES
The Family Records Centre, 1, Myddleton St., London, holds the Registrar General's Indexes (often called the St Catherine's House Index or RGI) of Birth, Marriages and Deaths recorded in England and Wales from July 1st 1837.
Many other libraries have copies of these indexes on microfilm or microfiche. Copies of birth, marriage and death certificates may be obtained by visiting Myddleton Place in person, or from The General Register Office (certificate.services@ons.gsi.gov.uk) or by contacting the local registrar of the district in which the registration took place.
Whilst there are a number of family trees on file we just can't get enough of them; if you have got a tree that you would like to share with us then, please contact a member of the Committee so that arrangements can be made for 'collection' in order to try to match it with one or more of those on file.
Family Trees are also featured in The Rimmer Review, our quarterly magazine, the magazine is included in your membership to the committee, but can be obtained for a small fee from The Rimmer Family History Society.
Gladys Rimmer Armstrong has been able to link several Rimmer Family Trees. Please contact our society for more information.
