Your Letters and Requests

Dear Lesley,
As mentioned in a previous email, in light of information received from a relative who is also researching the Rimmer element of the family, I would like you to publish the following letter in the next issue of Rimmer Review.

"I would greatly appreciate it if someone would help me research my mother's family. It is very difficult doing it from New Zealand, although this doesn't lessen the "thrill of the chase"!

"My mother was Isabella Rimmer living at 3A Railway Terrace before her marriage at St Paul's to my father James Paddock in 1922. My mother always said she had a lot of sisters, but I can only find evidence of three, Annie, Minnie and Alice all born before or during 1901. It is quite likely there were more born after 1901 which don't fall into the 1901 census. Can anybody help me with this please?

"My mother's parents were Peter 1867 and Annie 1870. Their parents were James 1838 and Hannah Jones 1839. James was descended from William 1817 and Isabella Sanders 1811. William's parents were James 1781 and Alice 1784, living in Trap Lane.

"When I have more information on mother's sisters, I will be able to make a completed family tree for publication in the Review."

Hopefully this will stir a bit of interest in the community.

With kind regards,
Bryan Paddock
